Your Meditations
This 5-minute video has been designed for you, based on your EEG reading during the experience and aligns with your unique Meditative Profile. We encourage you to use it as part of your at-home meditation experience, nurturing your mind, body, and intentions to expand your presence and creativity.
How to prepare
- Choose a regular time of day to practice when you can be alone and undisturbed.
- Use headphones for full immersion.
- Recall your seed of intention—this may be your original intention, or a new one. You can choose from the selection above or create your own one.
- Press play, soften your gaze, and let the rhythm, visuals and sound guide your focus inward.
- When the video ends, you might like to take a few moments to write or draw in your journal about any thoughts, ideas or feelings that emerged during the meditation.
- Try not to rush back into your day immediately. If you can, take a short moment for reflection.

Traditional Meditation Techniques
Based on your meditative profile, we also suggest trying the following traditional techniques—ones you can practice at any time, even without your personalized video.
Also known as concentration meditation, this meditation asks that you intentionally focus your attention on a single point or detail in your environment such as your breath, a sound, a physical object or patterned design (e.g. a flower or mandala) to cultivate a deeper sense of presence. You respond well to visual complexity, so we suggest that you begin with an object.
Practice
- Choose a neutral object to focus your attention on. For example, this could be a vase of flowers, or a painting on the wall. If you wish to practice this outside, look for shapes in your environment. This might be the lines and curves of a building, or the geometry of a flower.
- Sit comfortably and take a few deep breaths.
- Gaze at the object before you softly. Do not analyze it or give it a story.
- Simply let your attention rest there as a witness.
- Each time your mind wanders, gently return your focus to the object, without judgement.
- Try this for 5-10 minutes at first, extending over time until you can focus for longer periods.
- This is a perfect boost during lunch.
This is a form of meditative awareness guided by intentional movement. Movement meditation primarily uses deliberate, slow and mindful movements - such as walking, Tai Chi, Qigong or Yoga - to cultivate a state of calm and presence. Movement meditation may also be spontaneous and intuitive, allowing the body to move organically. You respond well to sensory dynamism, so let movement, color, and sensation be your anchors.
Practice
- If you have an existing movement practice like those listed above, you can use it in this practice. Otherwise, choose a movement that feels good to you: slow walking, stretching, free dance, or intuitive movement. This may be indoors, out in nature, or in an urban space, so long as it is an environment you enjoy.
- Begin with a few deep breaths to center yourself.
- Feel the contact of your feet with the ground.
- Let your gaze stay soft and open. You may close your eyes if it is safe to do so.
- Move slowly and intentionally at first, letting your breath guide your pace.
- Focus on how movement feels in your body rather than how it looks.
- Let your breath find a rhythm with your movement as you begin to move freely.
- Each time your mind drifts, gently return to sensation.
- Even just a few minutes of this practice can have a positive impact, but the longer you practice, the more you can get into the zone.
This meditation cultivates awareness by bringing attention to sensations arising in the body, such as your breath or the temperature of your skin. In nature-based mindfulness meditation, fluid, natural rhythms are observed. You respond well to soft motion and organic form, so let nature be your meditation object.
Practice
- Find a calm place where you can sit and be undisturbed. If you choose to do this outside, perhaps find a body of water, such as a stream, pond, river, or the sea.
- Take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
- Allow your breathing to relax, breathing in and out through your nose. Close your eyes and spend a few moments listening to the sound of your breath. If you are outside, focus on the sound of the water.
- Follow the rhythm of your breath in your body as it rises and falls.
- Notice the temperature of your breath on your skin.
- Now, sense the blood moving through your veins. Can you feel its rhythm?
- If you can’t notice or sense it, that’s completely fine. Perhaps you can notice something else.
- Thoughts or sensations may arise. Allow them to come, and to go, simply flowing through you.
- You can do this anytime, even for short bursts at first, and slowly you will begin to feel more subtle sensations in your body as you practice over time.
Also called Shikantaza, or “just sitting”, is a practice sometimes called “no-action” this practice uses no object of focus, instead it is about surrendering to the present moment. You respond well to soft, diffusive environments and can enter into a state of calm presence with relative ease.
Practice
- Sit or lie down comfortably. This may be indoors or outdoors.
- Let go of all doing.
- Allow your breath to be relaxed and natural.
- You may have your eyes open or closed. If you choose to have them open, maintain a relaxed, soft gaze. If you are outside, you may wish to gaze at the sky as clouds drift along before you.
- When thoughts arise, don’t follow them. Instead, let them pass like clouds.
- Rest in the act of being. Each moment is enough.
- You can do this anytime.
