Before you can exchange energy, you have to know where you are.

Earth Frequency Attunement is a post-lunch sonic experience designed to work with the body's natural rhythms rather than against them. When digestion is active and cognition slows, the body becomes more receptive — to sound, to stillness, to internal signal. This session uses that window deliberately.

Field recordings sourced from volcanic environments in Kona, Hawaii — captured during active geological activity in March 2025 — form the sonic foundation. These frequencies operate at the lower registers of human hearing. They are felt as much as heard, moving through the body before the mind has time to interpret them. Live sound layering responds to the room in real time. No two sessions are identical.

How it works

The structure moves through four phases:
1. Brief standing opening with breath to shift attention into the present
2. Settling period as the soundscape establishes itself beneath the room
3. A 15–20 minute frequency arc moving through earth, body, and breath
4. Quiet integration that closes with a single question to carry into the afternoon.

Leave with a felt sense of your current energetic state as a reference point, not a concept, and a nervous system ready to receive, connect, and exchange.

What makes this unique?

Earth Frequency Attunement was developed specifically for The Energy Exchange Summit at 113 Spring by Lola Villa, whose practice spans over a decade of field recording, sound design, and somatic movement across the Amazon basin, Hawaii, Japan, Mexico, and Panama. She holds an Ableton Certified Trainer credential and brings a background in deep ecology and sonic traditions to her facilitation. The sound system travels with her. The experience is fully turnkey.

The volcanic recordings at the heart of this session were captured in a two-week window during active volcanic activity in Kona, Hawaii, and produced specifically for this summit. They have not been heard in this context before.

FAQs

Do I need experience with meditation or sound work?

No. If you can sit still and breathe, you can receive this. The sound does the work.

What does "feeling" a frequency mean?

Some recordings in this experience operate below the threshold of conventional hearing. You may notice a subtle vibration in your chest, gut, or feet — or simply feel calmer without knowing why. Both are the experience working.

What does live sound layering mean in practice?

Lola mixes the soundscape in real time, responding to the energy of the room. The experience is shaped by the people in it.
