How it works

The evening begins with a conversation led by Dr. Hillary Lin, who will share insights on how our nervous system shapes our health, mood, and resilience. Settle in with a calming cup of tea as you learn practical, science-backed approaches to nervous system regulation.

After the talk, you’ll experience a restorative sound bath with Frank Raharinosy and Soul Through Sound. Using therapeutic sound and gentle guidance, this immersive experience helps quiet the mind, soothe the body, and invite a deeper sense of calm.

No prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and an open mind.

The inspiration

Modern research shows that our nervous system is central to how we experience stress, connection, and wellbeing. Practices that support nervous system regulation, like mindful awareness, breathwork, and sound therapy, have been shown to reduce stress, improve mood, and foster resilience (McEwen, 2007; Porges, 2011).

During a sound bath, participants are immersed in gentle, resonant tones produced by crystal bowls. These sounds aren’t just pleasant; they interact with the body and mind in meaningful ways.

Sound baths may also encourage brainwave states associated with deep relaxation and meditation, such as alpha and theta waves. These states are linked to improved mood, better sleep, and enhanced creativity (Wahbeh et al., 2007).

What makes this unique?

You'll gain both knowledge and direct experience of nervous system regulation techniques you can integrate into daily life.
