The inspiration

Through the lens of traditional craft, "Weaving the Forest" documents the interwoven nature within the world of silk, from silkworms and forests, to artisans and fashion.

With a history spanning thousands of years, silk has long existed in close relationship with nature, shaped by human hands and held within cultural practices and quiet rituals. Silk is something many of us likely have in our closets. But where do our clothes come from, and where do they go? This film invites us to pause and reflect on these questions together.

How it works

You will be invited to slow down, engage with the present moment, and connect more deeply with yourself and your surroundings.

The film will first invite you to pause and reflect on the quiet rituals of craftsmanship, and the ancient cultural connections between human creativity and the natural world.

Then, simple sensory moments will become an opportunity for reflection and presence through the preparation and tasting of ceremonial matcha.
