Resting Well: Exploring Chinese Medicine Through Sound

Rest is a skill. Let's practice.

Chinese Medicine has a different take on energy. Energy shifts, it changes, and we can learn to work with it instead of against it. Understanding and resonating with our energy can help us feel more restful and rejuvenated.

Join third-generation Chinese Medicine practitioner Dr. Michael Tong and somatic nervous system coach Valeria Itriago for an evening of education, sound exploration, and a restorative sound bath.

5:30-7:30 PM

Offered on November 5

We kindly invite you to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the session.

How it Works

Part 1: A Chinese Medicine Discussion & Sound Exploration
Through mindful listening and humming, we’ll experiment with how sound can help us meet our current state, rather than trying to force ourselves to feel differently. In doing so, we’ll explore how understanding our energy can itself become a way of working with it.

Participants are encouraged to ask questions, share observations, and experiment with the practices as we explore how Chinese Medicine can inform our everyday lives.

By the end, you’ll have a new framework for understanding your energy, along with simple practices you can return to throughout your day to foster restfulness

Part 2: Sound Bathing in Qi
With our newfound understanding of energy, Valeria Itriago guides us through an immersive sound bath. Nothing to do, nothing to figure out. An invitation to listen, receive, and rest.

The Science

Ever felt exhausted after a long day but couldn’t truly unwind? Or wanted more energy for the things you love, without burning out?

Chinese Medicine offers a different way to think about energy. It isn’t something to push through. It shifts and changes, and you can learn to work with it. Join us for an evening of education, exploration, and sound, and leave feeling more rested than when you arrived.
