Details

This session brings two practices together in a single experience. Laura Kauffman's grounded Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra guidance while Laura Hoffman moves through the room offering Thai massage and acupressure — working simultaneously layer a restorative practice neither could achieve alone.

The session draws on principles from Chinese Medicine, with a focus on nourishing yin: replenishing the body's reserves through stillness, gentle touch, and deep rest.

Spaces are limited to ensure each participant receives individual attention.

What's included

Mats, blankets, eye masks, and bolsters are included.

The inspiration

Sleep, digestion, and emotional steadiness are yin functions, and most of us are running a deficit. This is a rare format where live sound healing combined with hands-on bodywork in a group setting, facilitated by two practitioners whose work is precise and complementary, aids you in feeling deeply rested in a way that's difficult to achieve alone.

Co-hosted with

Laura Kauffman has spent nearly three decades in service of healing — and she brings that depth of experience to the mat. A licensed acupuncturist in New York State since 2000, Laura holds a Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (now Pacific College of Health Sciences) in New York City, along with degrees in Western Nutrition from Russell Sage College and Community Nutrition from UC Davis. Her path began in the Peace Corps, where she worked as a nutritionist in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica, counseling mothers and building community through shared cooking and gardening.

Laura is a lifelong student. Alongside her clinical training, she holds certifications in yoga, meditation, breathwork, health coaching, and Thai yoga massage. Her most influential teacher, Dr. Wang Ju-Yi, taught her applied channel theory during studies in both New York City and Beijing — a framework rooted in the oldest Chinese medicine texts, and one that continues to shape every session she leads, whether it's an acupuncture treatment or a yin yoga class.

That grounding in the body's meridian pathways is at the heart of Laura's approach to Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. She believes healing isn't about quick fixes, but about slowing down enough to restore real balance — and that no two bodies need the same thing to get there. Drawing on the old Chinese proverb "one disease, many treatments," Laura holds space for each practitioner to find what's true for their own body, mind, and nervous system.
